I’ve joined the ARRL after seeing the stand at the RSGB convention. A few of the UK members have stated that the magazine (QST) is worth the subscription alone. So the 1st magazine has popped through the letterbox and it didn’t disappoint. When you compare the quantity of articles, subjects covered and quality of the topics with the UK publications you quickly see the difference. I already subscribe to Practical Wireless and the RadCom I get with my RSGB membership.
I have found the adverts the most interesting in the QST, being able to see how the hobby is run in the US is simply amazing. I’ve bought some small items from a couple of the suppliers that I haven’t seen in the UK. I will let you know how I get on.
When it comes to renewing the subscriptions I will drop practical wireless, as QST has all the information I need, and RadCom keeps me up to date with what is happening in the UK with the RSGB. Is there need for another magazine?
